This milestone has been achieved
According to Tata Motors’ announcement on Thursday, it has produced one million units of the Tata Punch subcompact SUV. Tata Motors launched this SUV in October last year. This means that it took less than a year for Tata Punch to reach the 1 million production mark. Tata Punch has set this ‘milestone’ in just 10 months.

One thousandth of the Tata Punch was manufactured at Tata Motors’ Pune plant. Rajesh Khatri, Vice President (Operations), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Mohan Savarkar, Vice President (Product Line), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited were present on the occasion.
With the help of Tata Punch, the company tried to target customers who want to buy an entry-level SUV. The biggest highlight of the Tata Punch, which was launched in October this year, is its five-star safety rating. For now, it is only available in a petrol version, but Tata is preparing to bring diesel and electric versions as well. Ex-showroom price in Delhi starts from Rs 5.48 lakh.
Lots of great features
Tata Motors claims that the Tata Punch is India’s first small SUV. The company also claimed in its statement that this is the first SUV to cross the 01,000 production mark in just 10 months. The company says people love the Tata Punch for its stunning design, robust performance and best-in-class five-star safety.
Last month’s sales record
According to the company, Tata Punch is the latest addition to the ‘New Forever’ range. It gets features like 7-inch touchscreen system, digital instrument cluster, auto AC, auto headlights, connected car tech and cruise control. Since its introduction, it has been consistently among the 10 best-selling cars in the country. Last month i.e. July 2022, Tata Punch hit sales record. Punch sold 11,007 copies in July
