According to the official statement of the ACB, the accused, identified as Kaushika Suresh Kumar, tax inspector in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), accepted a bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from a complainant through bill collector in-charge Pallepaga Rajeshwar of the same office. Faridabad.
“Kumar asked Dnyaneshwar to do him an official favour, i.e. to process the complainant’s file for his home mutation,” the statement said.
The bribe amount has been recovered from the possession of Rajeshwar.
“The fingers of the left hand of AO-2 (Pallepaga Rajeshwar) gave a positive result in the chemical test. The AO performed his duty unfairly and dishonestly to gain undue advantage,” the statement said.
And two officers involved in the case are being arrested by the ACB and are being produced before the special judge.
Further investigation is being done. (ANI)
