“Look, I don’t think being the captain of South Africa is easy. There are many dynamics that you need to manage, I think for me cricket has to be the main focus among the guys. It has been a challenging period for the team, especially the management members. There has been a lot of scrutiny around the team. This has been the biggest challenge for me, to manage the conversations that happen inside the changing rooms and to make sure that our energy is focused on performance,” Bavuma said during a virtual press conference.
