The design of the perforations and holes of the iPhone 14 Pro Max has been revealed again

Apple, like every year, will definitely launch the new iPhones during the fall event. We’re still a few months away from that, but it’s an opportune time for leaks and rumors shaping what the next iPhone would be. For the past few weeks, photos of iPhone 14 models have been circulating on the Internet. Last week, models of all four models appeared, but a new model offers a closer look at one of them. It looks like the dummy is of an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it reiterates the double-punch design. Also Read – Apple iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max Prices Leaked Months Before Launch: Check Price Here

Photos shared by a Twitter user (@duanrui1205) resemble those of the iPhone 14 Pro Max given that the camera bump is probably the biggest of the four. And if that’s not conspicuous enough, the fact that the front of the dummy features the double punch-hole design confirms that’s what the iPhone 14 Pro Max would look like. iPhone 14 Pro vs non-Pro

Many industry insiders, as well as analysts including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo, have repeatedly stated that there will be cosmetic differences between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. The biggest of these might be the on-screen cutout design. The iPhone 14 Pro models would come with a combination of a punch-hole and a pill-shaped recess, while the non-Pro models would stick with the good old notch. Apple has had the notch design for over three generations of the iPhone and it’s time for it to bring a new workaround for the TrueDepth camera and Face ID system. The “pill and hole” design, as it’s called, would allow Apple to package the camera as well as the elements needed to make Face ID work while giving the next iPhone a fresh new look.

Punch-hole to nothing?

Experts say the new ‘pill and hole’ design could be the start of the transition to under-display technology. Apple has filed several patents around its own under-display technology and this could be the first step in getting there. But you shouldn’t expect to see the camera or under-display hardware anytime soon.

Moving from the biggest differences to the biggest, the iPhone 14 Pro Max (and iPhone 14) will likely bring an exclusive telephoto lens on the back. The rear camera unit of the Pro models could feature a 48-megapixel sensor for the first time, which would widen the gap between Pro and regular iPhones more than ever. The iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro are also expected to feature the A16 chipset, while the other two could opt for the A15 Bionic.
