The fourth Vande Bharat Express will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi tomorrow


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate India’s fourth high-speed intercity train, the Vande Bharat Express, in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.

Officials said the train will depart from Delhi to Amp-Andorra railway station in Una, and operate six days a week except on Wednesdays, PTI news agency reported.

The train will stop at Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib and Una.

Reports indicate that after the inauguration by Prime Minister Modi on October 13, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnau will make his first trip to New Delhi on the same train.

Last month, Prime Minister Modi announced the third Vande Bharat Express flight between Gandhinagar and Mumbai. He also made a journey between Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad.

Speaking about the features of this train, Sumit Thakur, CPRO, Western Railway Zone said, “Vande Bharat Express offers many excellent facilities that will provide passengers with a luxurious travel experience and advanced advanced safety features, including a locally developed rail collision avoidance system.”

Thakur added that the train was equipped with wagons with full suspension towing engines for an operating speed of 160 km per hour, along with an advanced suspension system to ensure a smooth and safe journey and better passenger comfort.
