Toyota Innova EV spied testing for first time, Details inside

New Delhi: Toyota recently introduced the new Innova Genix in Indonesia. This model has been launched in India with some changes as Innova Highcross which will be available in January 2023. The new Hycross will be sold alongside the Innova Crysta. Not only that, now the electric version of the Toyota Innova MPV has also appeared during testing. In other words, the company plans to launch an electric version of its popular MPV. However, this is nothing new. In fact, Toyota unveiled the Innova EV concept at the Indonesian International Motor Show earlier this year, after which there was talk of an electric version. The electric MPV has just been spotted testing on Indonesian roads for the first time.

According to media reports, the Innova EV concept is not based on the new Zenix/Hycross, but on the Innova Crysta sold in the Indian market. The silhouette of the Innova Electric is almost identical to that of the Crysta. Toyota has added some electric car design elements. The front fascia received a blacked-out grille and a completely new front bumper. The blue color can be seen on the headlight setting and logo.

The front bumper houses the vertically positioned fog lamp housings. It gets new alloy wheels. It also gets blue graphics on the body to highlight its electric version. The interior of the Innova Electric may be similar to the ICE version. You can get a touchscreen infotainment system, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and an analog dashboard with blue graphics.
