New Delhi: Shardul Thakur broke the internet with his fifty against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday. It was also Shardul’s first half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Shardul Thakur (68 off 29 balls) is the joint fastest fifty in IPL 2023. Shardul Thakur went into top gear and broke Buttler’s record for the fastest fifty of the season so far. Buttler, the Rajasthan Royals opener and Orange Cap winner in 2022, scored a quick half-century against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.

Knight Riders were in big trouble when Thakur got in and left Gurbaz and Russel in successive deliveries by David Willey. KKR looked like they were about to collapse but Shardul has other plans today to fight back till the end. With a blistering fifty, he became the joint fastest fifty scorer in the 16th edition of the IPL.
