Two terrorists killed in en encounter with forces at Bandipora Kashmir, had recently infiltrated from LOC


Srinagar: Two terrorists recently infiltrated in Kashmir Valley from across the LOC have been  killed in an anti militants operation launched by forces in upper belt of Brar-Aragam area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Officials told News24 that one after another militant has been killed amid searches in the area taking the toll to of militants killed in operation to 02.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told News24 that with the killing of two Lashker militants during encounter with forces at Aragam Bandipora the entire group of three terrorists of LET who had recently infiltrated from POK is eliminated. He said one terrorist earlier killed on 11/5/2022 was identified as Gulzar Ahmad Ganai from Pattan Baramula who had gone over to Pakistan in 2018 on valid Pakistani visa and came back as Pak Trained terrorist who crossed over along with other two from LOC These two killed today are suspected to be Pakistani terrorists.

Earlier, the encounter broke out shortly after joint security forces including army, CRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
