Ukraine crisis: Air India special flight lands in Romania to rescue stranded Indians

new Delhi: A special flight of Air India AI-1943 landed in Bucharest, Romania on Saturday morning to rescue Indians stranded in Ukraine.

This is the first special flight traveling on another route after the closure of the air route to Ukraine. The 787 Dreamliner has a capacity to carry 250 passengers and is expected to bring at least that many people back to India.
The government is expected to operate such flights to neighboring countries of Ukraine to evacuate Indians stranded in the country.
