Ukraine’s lawmakers propose sanctions on Russian officials for Donbas recognition

Kiev, Ukraine): The Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday adopted the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) resolution on the recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics to Russian authorities for 10 years.

The proposal was supported by 322 out of 450 MPs. “The purpose and purpose of the resolution is to provide the prerequisites for the decision of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council on the implementation of individual special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions). Creating a real and/or potential threat to national interests, information sector in person listed in Annex 1 to the national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the resolution read.

The list includes 351 Russian parliamentarians and members of the Russian Security Council.

These restrictions include cancellation of official visits, meetings, negotiations, introduction of restrictions on the purchase of land, asset freeze and other measures. (ANI)
