US to provide $13.6 billion in funding to Ukraine: Joe Biden

Washington (USA): US President Joe Biden said that the US will give $ 13.6 billion in funding to Ukraine.

This comes amid Russia’s ongoing military operations in Ukraine.

Joe Biden tweeted, “I have just signed the bipartisan Government Grants Bill into law – keeping the government open and providing Ukraine a historically $13.6 billion in funding.”

Further targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden wrote, “Putin’s aggression against Ukraine has united the US and people around the world to act with urgency and resolve. I am so quick to make sure of it.” I would like to thank the Congress leadership for working to ensure that we have the necessary resources. Continue our vigorous response to this crisis.”

Russian forces began military operations in Ukraine on 24 February, three days after Moscow recognized separate regions of Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk, as independent republics, followed by “demilitarization” and “denying” Ukraine. Announced for a “special military operation”.
