New Delhi: Indian Railways is planning to launch ‘Vande Bharat 2’, an upgraded version of Vande Bharat trains from 30 September. Notably, the new Vande Bharat trains will provide better railway facilities to the passengers. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Railways, the upgraded version of the high-speed train will be equipped with better features than the previous version.

The new Vande Bharat train is expected to run from September 30, if things go according to plan. Giving this information, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘The train has got the approval of CRS. Now the train is completely ready to run. It is expected that the train can be flagged off from Ahmedabad on 30 September.

The new Vande Bharat trains will have better speed, less weight and will also include a 32-inch LCD TV that can be connected via on-demand Wi-Fi. The train will also be equipped with a catalytic ultraviolet air purification system.

Indian Railways said that many technical changes have been made in the new Vande Bharat trains. In the present trains, only the rear part of the seat can be carried. However, according to the convenience of the passengers in the new train, the entire seat can be shifted. In addition, Indian Railways is planning to start 75 Vande Bharat trains on the track before August 15, 2023.
