Varun Dhawan gives ‘Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ twist to ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ family

New Delhi: As the shooting of his film nears its end, actor Varun Dhawan shared a picture with his onscreen family with a ‘Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ twist from the sets of the film ‘Jug Jug Jio’.

Varun took to his Instagram story and shared a picture from the sets of his upcoming film ‘Jug Jug Jio’ in which he can be seen posing with fellow actors Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. Sharing the picture, he wrote ‘Family’ along with it and added the title track of the famous Indian TV soap opera: ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ playing in the background.

The picture was originally shared by ‘Jug Jug Jio’ director Raj Mehta, who informed fans that the production of the film is nearing the end.

“As we slowly and steadily approach the end of the shoot, I am constantly reminded of what a ‘special’ experience it has been to make this film. This can only happen with a special cast like these. Was! @neetu54 @anilkapoor @varundvn @kiaraaliaadvani @manieshpaul @mostlysane,” he wrote in the caption.

Directed by Raaj and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, the romantic drama starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles, went by YouTuber Prajakta Koli and TV show host Maniesh Paul. On the floor in Chandigarh in December last year.

The shooting of the film was halted several times due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Varun and Neetu tested positive for the infection during the shoot, which was one of the reasons for the film’s shooting to be halted for a while. (ANI)
