Virat is world’s best captain: former cricketer Vinod Kambli

New Delhi: Virat Kohli led India 1-0 in the three-match Test series with an impressive 113-run win in the first Test against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Describing Kohli as the best captain in the world, former India cricketer Vinod Kambli said such wins are the reason behind it.

India’s Test captain Kohli was recently sacked from the ODI captaincy by the BCCI and there was a lot of discussion on how he would react to that. It can be clearly said that this has not affected the performance of the team as they defeated the Proteas comfortably.

Speaking on Ku, Vinod Kambli also said that batsman Virat Kohli will also do well in the series after this stupendous win.

“Talking of a change in captaincy, the weather is also against us! But look what we did, we have done wonders. Kohli has proved why he is the best captain in the world. When it comes to his batting, So this series will also bring it.” Old Kohli back,” Kambli wrote in Hindi on Ku.

Virat Kohli scored 35 runs in the first innings and 18 runs in the second innings of the first Test. He could not score a single Test century in the whole year 2021.

Opener KL Rahul was the man of the match as he scored 123 in the first innings and Mayank Agarwal’s 60 helped India post a score of 327 at the end of the first innings.

Mohammed Shami complemented the batsmen’s performance as he scored five runs to dismiss the Proteas’ key players and Bumrah carried on with his scintillating spell.
