Watch Anupam Kher’s film The Kashmir Files tax free in these states

new Delhi: The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar released on Friday (March 11) and is winning hearts. The box office collection shows how well the film is getting response from the audience.

Three states have so far made The Kashmir Files tax-free for the public. So if you are watching a Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directorial in Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, you will not have to pay tax on the film.

According to news agency ANI, the Chief Minister’s Office of Gujarat has made the film The Kashmir Files tax free.

“The Government of Haryana has allowed reimbursement of State GST on entry of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ in the cinema halls of the State.

Cinemas/Multiplexes have been asked to neither increase the amount of free entry nor make any change in the capacity of seats for different classes.

Also, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that his government has made the film The Kashmir Files tax-free in the state.

Taking to Twitter, Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote that the film is “a heart-wrenching tale of pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri Hindus in the 90s.”

The opening day collection of The Kashmir Files stood at Rs 3.55 crore, which doubled on Saturday to collect Rs 8 crore on its second day. The total collection of the film has now crossed Rs 12 crore.
