Mumbai: Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable SR Khandekar saves a pregnant woman from falling into a ditch between a platform and a train at Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra.

The incident took place when the woman collapsed while trying to board a moving train at Kalyan railway station and nearly fell into a gorge. As the pregnant woman tried to alight from the train, she stumbled, could not balance herself. Then RPF constable SR Khandekar jumped to save him.

Shivaji Sutar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway in Mumbai tweeted the CCTV footage and appealed to passengers not to board or alight a moving train. “Railway Protection Force (RPF) employee SR Khandekar saved the life of a pregnant woman who slipped while attempting to alight from a moving train at Kalyan Railway Station today. Railways appeals to passengers not to board or alight the moving train. ” Sutar tweeted.
