Sabyasachi Dutta, who had earlier quit the TMC and joined the BJP, on Thursday returned to the Mamata Banerjee-led party.
Kolkata: Sabyasachi Dutta, who left the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP, on Thursday returned to the party led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
ANI reported that Dutta was inducted into the TMC in the presence of state ministers Firhad Hakim and Partha Chatterjee in Kolkata.
Dutta said, “I had some dispute with one or two people in the (BJP) party, so I left it. Today didi (Mamata Banerjee) called me and asked me (in TMC) to come back home. “
He lost the Bidhannagar seat to TMC’s Sujit Bose in the assembly elections held earlier this year.
According to reports, Dutta said that some misunderstanding prompted him to exit from TMC in 2019, however, it has now been resolved. He also said that he would humbly accept any role offered to him by the TMC.
Earlier in September, former Union minister and former BJP MP Babul Supriyo had rejoined the TMC. At that time Supriyo said after meeting Mamata Banerjee, “I am very happy to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The way she welcomed me into the TMC family is very warm. She encouraged me to work with all my heart and with all my heart.” Asked him to sing. Dil which I think is the icing on the cake. He said ‘Pujor samayo tum gana karo’ (sing during worship).
