England players will wear black armbands as they fight for the trophy in the T20 World Cup. Many fans are confused believing that it is luck to win against Pakistan but that is not the reason.

The England cricket team pay their respects to David English

David English passed away on the eve of the T20 World Cup final, and the team is paying tribute to the armband.

England captain Jos Buttler had tweeted about his death and said: “Very sad to hear the news of David English’s death. One of life’s great characters, so much fun to hang out with and produce some of the best English cricketers through the amazing Bunbury Festivals. Sorry to hear the news of David English’s death. England all-rounder Chris Woakes also writes about his respect. He said: “Such sad news to hear of the passing of David English. An incredible man who did incredible things for our great game and was always great company, never a dull moment. RIP Dave.”

Who is David England?

David English is considered the godfather of English cricket and has been with the team for a long time. His Bunbury Schools Festival has built the careers of over 1,000 first-class cricketers in England. He died at the age of 76.
