World is silent, history repeats: Volodymyr Zelensky after Russia bombed TV tower near Holocaust memorial site

Kyiv (Ukraine): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that history was repeating itself after Russian troops attacked five people on a TV tower in Kyiv.

According to reports, the TV tower is located near a memorial site that commemorates the victims of one of the largest single massacres of Jews, Babin Yar, during the Nazi Holocaust.

Zelensky tweeted, “To the world: what’s the point of saying “never again” for 80 years, if the world keeps silent when bombs fall on the same site in Babin Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating itself Is …”.

CNN reported that five people were killed and five others were injured in the attacks near the Kyiv TV tower, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“By 06:00 in the shelling of the Kyiv TV tower in the Shevchenkivsky district, 5 people were killed and 5 were injured. The work is in progress,” read a statement from the ministry.
