Noida: The plan is ready to run the world’s longest route pod taxi in Greater Noida, UP. It will be the longest project of about 14.6 km connecting Noida Airport, Sector 21 and Noida International Film City. The Yamuna Authority has sent a revised report on pod taxis to the government.
According to a report by the Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRRCL), the proposed Rapid Transit (PRT) project on the Yamuna Expressway is likely to be the longest in the world. 810 million will be spent on the preparation of the project. Pod Taxi connects Film City to Noida Jewar Airport. More than 30,000 passengers will be able to travel by pod taxi every day.
12 stations are under construction including Sector 29, Handicraft Park, MSME Park, Garment Park, Sector 32, Sector 33, Game Park, Sector 21 etc. The length of the corridor will be 14.6 kilometers. Pod taxis arrive in two phases. In the first phase, approximately 146 pod taxis will be purchased. In the second phase, 799 pod taxis will be purchased. This project will be completed in two years.
4-6 seater automatic vehicle The pod taxi travels at a maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour without a driver. The pod taxi has 8 passengers sitting and 13 passengers standing. The fare may be fixed at Rs. every 8 kilometers.
