Yuvraj Singh celebrates 15 years of his six sixes in an over


New Delhi: 15 years have passed since the International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced the 20-over format World Cup. This year, sixteen teams will be fighting for the trophy in the competition, which is due to start in Australia in October.

Whenever one recalls the inaugural season, Yuvraj Singh’s back-to-back sixes against England pacesetter Stuart Broad comes to mind as an exceptional moment.

Today the former India all-rounder was spotted himself reliving the day accompanied by his son Orion Keech Singh. The cricketer shared a clip of the moment on Instagram.

The Indian legend captioned the video, “Couldn’t have found a better partner to watch this together after 15 years.”

In the video, Singh can be seen sitting on a sofa with Orion on his lap and watching the game on a TV. Orion can be seen watching the game intently while Yuvraj hilariously lip-syncs the commentary.

The 40-year-old’s team-mate Irfan Pathan commented: “The little one keeps an eye on your technique. Focused.”

Indian slugger Shikhar Dhawan also marked his presence in the comments section, noting: “God bless him.” While one fan dubbed Yuvraj Singh the “best all-rounder ever for India”.

Now Yuvraj has represented the Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian team in the Road Safety World Series, which is being held for the second time this year. Singh has played some outstanding innings for India Legends and is an important member of the team.
