This year, 1,87,389 candidates registered for the examination, while 1,79,694 candidates appeared in both papers conducted on May 17, 2026.

What happens after the JEE Advanced 2026 Result?
Following the declaration of the JEE Advanced 2026 Result, qualified candidates can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. Through counselling, students will be allotted seats in IITs and other participating institutions based on their ranks, category, preferences, and seat availability.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch programmes offered by IITs will also have the opportunity to appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) as per the schedule released by the authorities.
