The NEET UG 2026 fee refund deadline has been extended till July 31, allowing eligible candidates another opportunity to submit accurate bank details for examination fee refunds.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the NEET UG 2026 fee refund deadline to July 31, 2026, giving eligible candidates additional time to submit or update their bank account details for the examination fee refund. The extension comes after the agency found that only 52% of eligible candidates had completed the bank details submission process by the earlier deadline.
The decision is expected to help remaining candidates receive their refunds without facing delays. NTA has advised aspirants to carefully verify their banking information before submitting it through the official NEET portal.
Why has NTA extended the NEET UG 2026 fee refund deadline?
According to the agency, around 11.46 lakh candidates had submitted their bank account details as of July 14, representing nearly 52% of eligible candidates. Since a significant number of candidates were yet to complete the process, NTA decided to provide another opportunity by extending the deadline until 11:50 pm on July 31, 2026.
The agency has already started processing refunds for candidates whose bank account details have been successfully verified. Aspirants who have not yet completed the process should do so before the revised deadline to avoid missing the refund.
Who should update bank account details?
The NEET UG 2026 fee refund deadline extension is meant for eligible candidates who are entitled to receive a refund of their examination fee but have not yet submitted or confirmed their bank account details.
Candidates should ensure that:
- The bank account details are accurate.
- The account is active and capable of receiving electronic transfers.
- The information matches the details required by NTA.
Providing incorrect banking information may delay the refund process.
